David Ford becomes Justice Minister
The Alliance leader David Ford has been elected as Northern Ireland's new Justice Minister. As part of the process of appointing the new Minister and the new committee on Justice, all the chairs and deputy-chairs of all Stormont committees were re-appointed by d’hondt. Maurice Morrow takes up the chair of the new Committee for Justice and Raymond McCartney, deputy chair. Key changes to committee chairs and deputy chairs are highlighted below.
